about

So this is the second single off of "Locals" and the first off of my 2 1/2 album "Come With Me, Go Places", which is a soundtrack to E.K. Weaver's comic "The Less Then Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal".

The song is about leaving a fancy party with who you came with, trading in a night of sophistication for wild sex and Leonard Cohen records. The term "rusted shrine" means letting something important in the back of your mind get put aside for more enjoyable things.
